Spread the love

Nigeria is going through very difficult times, and the country urgently needs competent, credible, and experienced leadership. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is in a strong position because it has two outstanding leaders in Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar. This should not divide us it should encourage us.
Peter Obi has built a strong reputation as a leader who believes in:
• Accountability, transparency, and prudent use of public funds
• Running government like a serious business, not a charity
• Investing in education, healthcare, and human capital
• Encouraging productivity, discipline, and data-driven leadership
The Obidient movement has also awakened political consciousness, especially among young Nigerians. It has shown that citizens want competence, honesty, and a break from the old ways of doing things. This energy is important for Nigeria’s future.
On the other hand, Atiku Abubakar brings:
• Vast experience from serving as Vice President of Nigeria
• Deep understanding of the economy and private-sector-led growth
• Long-standing advocacy for restructuring and devolution of powers
• Strong national spread and political structure across all regions
Atiku’s experience and nationwide reach are critical for winning elections and governing a diverse country like Nigeria. He understands how the system works and how to fix it.
The truth is simple: whoever emerges as ADC’s candidate, Nigeria wins.
Obi represents discipline, reform, and a new political culture.
Atiku represents experience, economic depth, and national inclusion.
These strengths complement each other.
This is why Obidients and Atikulates must work together. The primaries are a democratic process, not a war. After the primaries, everyone must support the candidate that emerges. Without unity, there can be no victory.
The “Obi or nothing” rhetoric is divisive and harmful. It creates unnecessary tension and weakens the broader movement for change. Nigeria’s challenges are too serious for rigid positions that reject dialogue, compromise, and collective effort.
Supporting ADC means supporting democracy, unity, and national interest above personal preference. Loyalty should be to Nigeria first, not to individuals.
ADC has a rare opportunity to present Nigerians with credible leadership and real hope. If we stay united, focused, and disciplined, victory is possible and Nigeria will be better for it.
Unity over division.
Country over personality.
Nigeria must come first.
