If you ever feel like your life is chaotic, just remember: somewhere in Turkey, a man once helped search for a “missing person”… only to discover the missing person was him.
Let’s set the scene.
A Night Out That Went Way Off Script
Beyhan Mutlu, a regular guy from Bursa, went out for drinks with his friends — innocent enough. But after a few too many glasses of “mind-erasing courage,” he decided to take a casual night stroll into a nearby forest.
His friends, being responsible citizens (and probably equally tipsy), realized he was gone and figured:
“Okay, he’s definitely missing.”
They reported it to the authorities.
The Search Party Begins
Soon, a large group of volunteers assembled to look for him. They formed lines, carried flashlights, and shouted into the dark:
“BEYHAN! BEYHAAAN MUTLU!”
Now here’s where destiny, confusion, and alcohol combined to create cinematic magic.
Because Mutlu — blissfully unaware that he was the missing man — saw the group and thought:
“Hey, what’s everyone up to? Looks fun. I’ll join.”
And so he did.
“I’m Here!”
For about half an hour, Mutlu searched the forest… for himself… alongside people searching for him.
It wasn’t until someone yelled his name with enough frustration to wake the ancestors that Mutlu realized something:
“Wait… that’s me.”
He stepped forward like the hero in a dramatic telenovela and announced:
“I’m here!”
The volunteers stared.
The forest went silent.
Somewhere, a confused owl blinked twice.
The Aftermath
No one was hurt. Nothing was lost — except dignity and maybe a few brain cells.
But one thing is certain:
Mutlu unintentionally created one of the funniest real-life stories the internet has ever loved.
