As Nigerians prepare for the 2023 general elections, a video of former US President, Barack Obama, speaking to Nigerians just before the 2015 polls occurred has made the rounds on social media. In the video, the former US President stated that for any election to be credible, it must be free and fair. He said that all Nigerians must be able to cast their votes without intimidation or fear, and called on all candidates contesting in the election at the time, to inform their supporters that violence has no place in a democratic election or after the votes are counted.
